    The species are not distinguished in the verancular (cf. Marzell 2000,3,1511).

    HA: Ch. XIV. According to Hunger (1935,167) the text describes Rumex hydrolapathum Huds., great water dock, Fluß-Ampfer; D'Aronco (1998,49): Rumex ssp. L.

    Charters: when in combination with elements denoting water-surroundings, the OE lemma probably also denotes Nuphar Sm., yellow pond lily, a species of ~, Mummel, eine Art von ~: →docce, sīo þe swimman wille, (cf. DOE, s.v. docce, docca 1c).

    The lemma ACROCERIUM is not clear but it is phonetically identical with "ACROCHERIUM, -I, n. (άκροχείρων) MANUS - Hand: Ars.med.5,p.422,17 -ORUM OSSA XXVI SUNT." (MLW s.v.); maybe this is a connection to →finger-docce. DILLA is ML PARADILLA 'dock, Ampfer (cf. Marzell 2000,3,1515; also cf. Gamillscheg, s.v. parelle 'Gemüseampfer'). for RODINAPS cf. note to Laud, 1256 →ampre; and →leloþre.

Die Worte I. gledene und I. carix sind in kleineren Schriftzügen und offenbar nachher hinzugefügt: der Abstand zwischen Lappatium und Gladiolum ist nämlich ebenso groß wie zwischen den anderen Glossen.
