  • Comment on (A): ? Potentilla L, cinquefoil, a specie of ~, Fingerkraut, eine Art ~

The occurrences are not recorded in BT(SC) but they are recorded in the MED, s.v. helde n.(3); the meaning of grene helde is not specifyed. If we do not assume an error made by the OE translator (cf. the respective notes to the occurrences) this meaning can only be held valid for the PD. Fischer (2001,280): "Potentilla anserina L., recta L. u. reptans L. [...] doma (Gloss.) [...] tanacetum agrestum (Brunsch.)". Cf. the ModE names of P. anserina (Britten / Holland 1886,601): Goose Tansy, Dog's Tansy.
