    As worþig and tūn are synonymous[1] this plant name can be equated with →tūn-cærse. On the L lemmata cf. Lindheim (1941, n.190): "GRISSA läßt sich aus einem vlat. CRISSO[2] 'Kresse' ableiten, das auch die Basis des nfrz. 'cresson' ist. Das Adj. GARINA ist mir in dieser Form sonst nicht bekannt"; and Rusche (1996,647): "The word GARINA is probably a corruption of Lat. GARDINA, "garden" (cf. Latham, s.v.)."
