Cf. ModE stitchwort (cf. OED, s.v.; oldest record: WW 557,30: UALERIANE .I. stichwurt; the L lemma does not denote S. holostea but Valeriana celtica L., celtic valerian, Keltischer Baldrian; cf. André 1985, s.v. UALERIANA). The L lemma AGRIMONIA probably is a short form of AGRIMONIA ALPHA (cf. →æþel-feorþing-wyrt). OSTRAGO, which is normally glossed by →liþ-wyrt, denotes Galium L., bedstraw, Labkraut and does not go with sticwyrt.
The identification in BTC 'dwarf elder' (= Sambucus ebulus L.) goes back to Cockayne's wrong identification of OSTRIAGO in HA and has to be refuted.
SAGITTULA is not recorded anywhere else; based on phonetic similarity it could be a corrupted SAGITELLA, which denotes Plantago lanceolata L., ribwort plantain, Spitz-Wegerich, (cf. →lǣce-wyrt, and Marzell 2000,3,806) or SAGITTA (AQUATICA), Sagittaria sagittifolia L.,common arrowhead, Pfeilkraut (Marzell 2000,IV,4).
