Usually bone marrow, here especially referring to plants: LB: Marrow in the flower head of Dipsacus fullonum L.: wuduþistles þone grenan mearh, þe biþ on þam heafde; (→wudu-þistel). The occurrance in PsCa translates 'marrow of wheat'; cf. s.v. →smedma and MED (s.v. marwe): marue of whete 'heart of wheat, fine flour'
