    The occurrence LB 29/4 indicates the preferred habitat of the plant.

    Cf. WW 556,13: FAUIDA .I. FAUEDE .I. leomeke; AhdGl 3,488,21: FAUAT[1] pungo; AhdGl 3,556,53:FABARIA lomeke; (OFr) WW 556,32: FABARIA .I. fauerole. FABARIA as well as CRASSULA are well recorded names of Sedum telephium L., orpine, Purpur Fetthenne, (cf. Marzell 2000,4,225),[2] but there seems to be no relation to V. beccabunga (the plants have no names in common).

    Etymology: According to Holthausen (1974, s.v.) related to MLG lömeke and of unknown origin. Could -moce be related to →lust-moce?
