    Cf. ModE 'haw' and MED, s.v. haue (2)a.; also OHG haga.[1] On CINUM cf. Mayhew (1908,216): Haw, frute: CINUM.

    Identification based on QUISQUILIA; cf. s.v.v. →ægne, →bēan-scealu, →corn-ǣscēada, and s.v. →slāh, note on ClQu 36. Also cf. MED, s.v. haue (2)b. We cannot explanin GIGNALIA, but cf. Rusche (1996,646), who cites Kindschi: "[…] it 'may be equivalent to GIGNENTIA, 'twaddle,' in which case haga, 'haw,' would be a symbol of something useless, as it is used in ME.'"
