    HA: The equation of betonica with biscopwyrt, which only occurs in the table of contents of ch. I, could be an error, as in the LA both plant names occur together several times (100/24; 118/23; 122/6; 148/5). DeVriend (1984,286) hints at another possibility: it may be short for →bisceop-wyrt, sēo læsse which is a synonym of betonica (cf. Cockayne 1961,2,372 and Deegan 1988,229f.).
