Quinn's n.: "Stryker, p.276, points out in a note to a similar gloss that segelgyrd is no fitting gloss to LABRA in the context quoted, but that segngyrd, "banner-staff fits it aptly." Quinn also points towards ClSt L 14 (WW 430,27): LABARA segnes, guþfana.
