    On ARBATAE cf. Pheifer (1970,n.70: "Vulg.Dan. 14:2 SIMILAE ARTABAE DUODECIM: SIBAED, lit. 'sifting' [...] translates SIMILAE 'flour', not ARTABAE 'measures'." I cannot find the L lemma LIBERAMALO anywhere else but it clearly reminds of the paternoster (Mt. 6,13) "LIBERA NOS A MALO" and could be an ironic reference to the monotonous work of threshing corn.
