    Probably referring to a wild growing species. L lemma and interpretatment do not go with Brassica L.[1] DIPTAMNUS = Dictamnus albus L.; dittany; Diptam (cf. Marzell 2000,2,123) or Origanum dictamnus L.; dittany of Crete; Kre­tischer Diptam, Dictam (cf. Marzell 2000,3,448); BIBULCOS is a corrupt BUBULCOS, which is a synonym of DIPTAMNUM in the L HA 62, A.18 and which is related to Gk βελουλκος.

Also cf. Diefenbach (1857, s.v. DICTAMNUS): römischer kole. Roman cabbage is a well recorded name for Beta vulgaris L.; beetroot; Bete, which is related to B. napus (cf. Marzell 2000,1,508), but which has no connection to dittany (cf. Marzell 2000,2,126).
