    The flowers of this plant are white; cf. the old name MENTA ALBA and OHG wizminza 'NEPETA' (Marzell 2000,III,310ff).

  • Comment on (B): ? Mentha longifolia (L.) Huds., spear mint, Ross-Minze

    Based on L names (cf. Marzell 2000,III,157) this identification is also possible but not for the LA where this species is referred to by the name →horse-minte. Pettit (2001,XXXV,157-8) suggests 'apple mint' (Mentha suaveolens Ehrh.) as third possibility.
