    There is no reference to this problematic occurrence in BT(S,C) and ClH, just the translation 'womb, Mutterleib' (L MATRIX) but this is not possible for this passage. Cocayne (1962,II,378) suggests Matricaria chamomilla L. common camomile, Echte Kamille, Hankins (1992,224) adapts this identification without comment. Cockayne also suggests a writing error for →cwice, but this is not likely. As the context shows the word does not have to be a plant name.
