    In the L HA (ch. XXXI) LACTUCA SYLUATICA denotes Lactuca serriola L., prickly lettuce, Kompass-Lattich (cf. Hunger 1935,167). This species is native to southern Europe, therefore wudulectric most likely is just a loan translation of LACTUCA SILUATICA which does not refer to a certain English species. Lindheim is wrong in his note on Dur 211: L. sativa is not 'wild lattuce', it is the garden variety. The source plant of this genus is L. serriola.
