    We should probably add Ep 1077a UERBENACA SURA MAGNA and Erf 1077a UERBÆRACA SURA MAGNA here; Pheifer suggests for SURA: "presumably sūre 'sorrel'." Maybe it denotes Oxalis acetosella L. (cf. →geaces sūre); also cf. →monnes sure. Only in this gloss SALSA is equated with a plant name; SALIUNCA normally denotes Valeriana celtica L. (cf. Andrè 1985,s.v.); the gloss sure probably is a "guess" of the glossator (cf. for example Wynn 1961,595) because the meaning of the L lemma was not known to him (also cf. →popig, wilde).
