For HA 116/12, probably an error in translation.
Most probable identification for HA 118/18 and the occurrences in PD. Cf. Cockayne (1961,I,119,A.c): "Latin, CYPRINUM OLEUM, AD LIBRAM ET UNCIAS DUAS; oil of privet, one pound two ounces. The interpreter had his difficulties." OLEUM CYPRINUM 'Zyprusöl' is a fragrant oil derived from the flowers of the bush CYPROS (Gk μύπρος; cf. Georges, s.v. CYPRINUM). This bush, listed in Dioscorides' herbal, was first identified as Ligustrum vulgare L., privet, Rainweide (therefore Cockayne translates 'oil of privet'), but more likely it is L. inermis L. (cf. Marzell 2000,III,1279 and 1215). GLADIOLUS Schwertel." As can be seen from PD 37/3 this last possibility can be ruled out.
