SCOLIMBOS (cf. André 1985,s.v. SCOLYMOS) denotes several plants, but the defining 'not broad, nicht breit' seems to point towards →smæl-þistel and HA CLIII where C. ferox is described, it is a plant of the Italian, French and Spanish alps.
